Editorial Policy

How SickCat creates, updates, cites, and labels educational cat health content.

How we create SickCat content

SickCat publishes educational cat health guides for owners who need practical next steps. Articles are written to answer urgent questions clearly, distinguish home care from emergency warning signs, and point readers to veterinary care when symptoms may be serious.

Sources and medical boundaries

Health articles cite or reference reputable veterinary and animal-health sources such as veterinary schools, professional veterinary associations, poison-control resources, and veterinary manuals. SickCat does not claim that a page is vet reviewed unless a licensed veterinarian has actually reviewed that specific page.

Updates and corrections

We update priority pages when guidance changes, when Search Console data shows a page is not answering the query well, or when internal review finds unclear or incomplete advice. If you notice a factual issue, use the contact page so it can be reviewed.
